Manchester United: Fans blast Dean Henderson’s ultimatum to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Dean Henderson has warned Manchester United he will not wait around if he continues to be overlooked for the top spot.

Henderson, who has spent the past two years at Sheffield United, has enjoyed another outstanding season with the Blades, keeping 11 clean sheets.

Man United have allowed him to stay at Bramall Lane for the remainder of the campaign, and his parent club are prepared to offer him a new deal, amid interest from Chelsea.

Although David de Gea has made a series of high-profile mistakes, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists De Gea is still the best goalkeeper in the world.

However, the 23-year-old has now issued Solskjaer a transfer ultimatum, as he suggested he could leave the club if he doesn’t get his chance.

Who should be Man United's first-choice keeper?

Speaking to TV3, as relayed by The Daily Express and @utdreport, Henderson said “I think it’s clear for everyone to know. I want to play for Manchester United and England.

“It feels like I always hit a brick wall. Maybe I’ll get the opportunity [to play for Man United], maybe I won’t, then I’ll have to look down a different avenue.”

Perhaps Henderson is being slightly hasty, given the fact he has only had one season in the Premier League.

Admittedly, if he continues to put in a string of impressive performances between the sticks, this could become too difficult for Solskjaer to ignore.

Naturally, loads of United fans blasted the “young buck’s” comments on social media, with one supporter stating he is “delusional” as he still lacks experience, while another harshly added he is “awful.” This is rather unfair, as he is actually earned a higher SofaScore rating than De Gea this season.

Not good enough. Never will be. Joe Hart 2.0

Calm down son, if you're good enough you'll eventually be in goal for United. We don't want another Ben Foster situation (meanwhile he's a legend at Watford).
