Loads of Red Devils are delighted after Manchester Evening News revealed Anthony Martial did not feature in first-team training on Wednesday morning ahead of Manchester United’s Europa League tie against LASK.
The French forward suffered some nasty cuts to his shins after colliding with the goalposts against Manchester City and posted footage of his latest war wounds to his Instagram story.
Martial opened the scoring in the commanding 2-0 victory over their local rivals at Old Trafford, registering 3 shots on target and winning 2 out of 4 aerial duels last weekend (SofaScore).
The French international has bagged 11 goals in 23 games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the Premier League despite battling back from a season disrupted by injury. His market value is currently at £54m via Transfermarkt.
The Red Devils face Tottenham Hotspur away this Sunday and many United fans will be hoping a fully-fit and rested Martial can help the team to a comfortable win over former boss Jose Mourinho, hence why they are happy for him to sit out the game against LASK.
