Manchester United: Fans demand club sell Paul Pogba amid potential Fernandes bid

Manchester United were linked with Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes all summer, with rumours repeatedly making headlines across the country – and now some supporters want the club to sell Paul Pogba so they can make the deal happen.

Fernandes, who racked up a phenomenal 20 goals and 13 assists in in 33 appearances for Sporting last season from midfield, has definitely continued that fine form this time round – bagging a further five goals and six assists in 2019/2020 so far.

These incredible numbers, combined with the fact United are debatably short on world-class attacking midfielders (Jesse Lingard has failed to score a Premier League goal this season), have prompted rumours to circulate for months over the Portuguese’ potential signing at Old Trafford.

Now, due to a tweet put out by the United Stand, supporters have been in full voice on their stance over whether they sell Pogba to potentially fund new deals like Fernandes – and the overwhelming consensus is they definitely should.
