Man United academy product Axel Tuanzebe made his first appearance for the club since 2018 on Saturday, coming off the bench as a late substitute in the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over Leicester City.
Marcus Rashford’s 8th-minute penalty was enough to seal all three points for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side at Old Trafford, which sees the club rise to fourth in the table after five games.
Victor Lindelof and ex-foxes man Harry Maguire lined up in the heart of defence, with 21-year-old Axel Tuanzebe coming off the bench for winger Daniel James in the 91st minute to make his first appearance for the club this term.
United fans are extremely excited about the England Under-21 international this season, with many supporters (listed below) believing that the young defender should start Thursday’s clash against Astana in the Europa League. Indeed, the Manchester Evening News actually reported last week that he’d start the game, so it seems as if the Red Devils could be in for a treat.
