Loads of Manchester United fans have been reacting to the latest performance of former transfer target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, as some of the Red Devils faithful still see the Serbia star as a potential Paul Pogba replacement.
Milinkovic-Savic was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the 2018 World Cup, as he shone in Russia following an excellent season with Lazio – the towering midfielder recorded an impressive 14 goals and eight assists in the 2017/18 campaign, and he has five goals and seven assists so far this term – more than Pogba in both categories.
Standing at 6 foot 5, he certainly wouldn’t have any issues with the physicality of the Premier League, and with Pogba once again edging towards the exit door in Manchester, many supporters took to Twitter to share their feelings on Milinkovic-Savic after his latest display.
The 24 year-old scored the winning goal in Lazio’s 2-1 win over Inter in Sunday’s top of the table clash, racking up two dribbles and one key pass while also winning 12 duels, the most of any player in the match, per Sofascore.
