Manchester United: Fans frustrated over Solskjaer’s latest Bruno Fernandes comments

Share

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed what ultimately convinced him to sign Bruno Fernandes in an exclusive with Sky Sports. Predictably the boss’s update has driven supporters crazy, with many fans arguing the board should have bought the midfielder during the summer.

During a scouting mission, Solskjaer was struck by the star’s aura, saying “what impressed me the most that day was his personality. We knew about his skills and qualities.”

The club legend added “Bruno coming in has boosted the players but for the supporters as well, they can see we are putting pieces in place.”

The 25-year-old has made a rapid start to his career at Old Trafford, scoring 3 goals and creating 2 assists in just 6 games across all competitions for United so far. His market value is currently registered at £54m (Transfermarkt).

Manchester United were linked with Fernandes in August before the Portuguese international finally joined the club from Sporting Lisbon in the January window (Sky Sports).

However, given his recent string of performances, many fans are suggesting the Red Devils should have signed him far earlier.
