Bouncing back from their defeat at Watford with a ruthless 4-1 home win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford, Manchester United supporters appear to be praising one man following his heroics – with young star Mason Greenwood taking plenty of plaudits after his performance.
After going 1-0 down early in the first half courtesy of boogeyman Matty Longstaff, scoring his second goal in two games against the Red Devils, United quickly showed their character and bounced back in style – with a brace from Anthony Martial and strikes from academy duo Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford eventually sealing all three points in a clinical rout.
Greenwood, in particular, had an impressive outing – summed up by his brilliant finish, blasting a rocket over the helpless Martin Dubravka into the roof of the net to put United in the ascendancy.
