According to a report from the Manchester Evening News, Red Devils defender Marcos Rojo has been put on standby ahead of a possible January move away from Old Trafford – with some Manchester United fans wondering why he is the one potentially exiting and not other candidates.

The Argentine recently came back from a muscle injury and briefly returned to training before heading back to his home country to spend time with family over Christmas – with other defenders Phil Jones and Ashley Young seemingly getting the nod over him.
Rojo, who was signed just after the 2014 World Cup from Sporting Lisbon in a £16 million deal, has found himself out of favour during manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign – making just eight Premier League appearances overall since the start of the 2018/2019 season.
As a result, it’s no surprise Rojo could be gearing up for a move away, but these United supporters definitely aren’t pleased – here’s what they had to say on Twitter.

Rojo can play lcb and lb.. It would be more effective to get rid of jones/young.. But I guess brexit fc fans wouldn’t be happy with that 😂
