Manchester United: Fans hail latest Mauricio Pochettino update from ‘reliable’ source

According to a clip from talkSPORT host Phil Brown on Twitter, a source that fan account The United Stand deem ‘reliable’, former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino could be on his way to Old Trafford at the end of the season but not beforehand – prompting many Red Devils supporters to praise the update.

Pochettino, who guided Spurs on a heroic run to the Champions League final last season, beating Premier League champions Manchester City in the quarter-finals before dramatically squeezing past Ajax, has been touted as a realistic replacement for under-fire manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Indeed, the Norwegian gaffer has divided a portion of the United fan base this campaign after a dismal start, with many calling for the club legend to be sacked and replaced by the Argentine. Now, according to Brown’s update on social media, there is a suggestion that he could be on his way to the Theatre of Dreams, weeks after the Daily Mail suggested the ex-Southampton coach was keeping a close watch on what was happening at the club.

Would really love this to be true. Ole being out of his depth is still my main concern. If he wins a cup and gets us top 4 then fair
enough but we won’t do either in my opinion. Even if he scrapes top 4 alone, I would still get rid personally.
