Plenty of Manchester United fans showered forward Anthony Martial with praise after his performance during his side’s 3-0 win against Watford on Sunday.
The France international scored an excellent second goal for the Red Devils and they strolled to a comfortable win at Old Trafford, which was his third goal in as many games — the first time he has accomplished that since 2017. Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood also contributed to United’s goal tally as they went fifth in the Premier League table, leapfrogging Tottenham in the process.
Martial, who is valued at £54m by TransferMarkt, managed two shots on target, two successful dribbles and won four of his ground battles, as per SofaScore. His strike against the Hornets was his 15th in all competitions this season from 31 appearances. One fan described his showing as “pure class”, while another credited the Frenchman for covering every blade of grass.
