Lots of Manchester United fans have been left furious by the latest update on Bruno Fernandes, as various reports claim the deal is stalling due to the Red Devils’ hesitance to meet his price tag.
According to The Telegraph, the negotiations with Sporting CP have hit a roadblock over their £68m valuation of Fernandes. The 25 year-old looked to be edging closer and closer to Old Trafford this week, but played in his side’s defeat to Benfica on Friday evening and the move is now in jeopardy.
Per The Telegraph’s report, Manchester United have offered around £39m for the goalscoring midfielder plus a range of add-ons, but the two clubs remain a whopping £20m apart in their valuations. The Red Devils are said to be determined not to be held to ransom, with The Standard’s James Robson also reporting that the club do not want to set a precedent of over-paying for targets before swooping for James Maddison and Jadon Sancho this summer.
