The attacker revealed that when his father was falling ill in London, the Scotsman afforded him the time to go visit him, saying he could go for ‘one day, two days or one week’ (via BBC).
Ronaldo and Ferguson enjoy a special relationship with the attacker having previously dubbed the 77-year-old his ‘football father’ (BBC via ESPN).
Following the 2016 European Championship final for Portugal in France, Ferguson was pictured at the bottom of the stairs waiting to congratulate the 34-year-old on his victory (via MEN).
A warm relationship follows Ronaldo’s successful spell with the Old Trafford side, where the Juventus forward scored 118 goals and won 10 trophies after being signed as an 18-year-old (via Transfermarkt).
