Manchester United: Fans love Odion Ighalo’s comments about midfield duo

A lot of Manchester United fans are loving Odion Ighalo after his latest comments about the squad and in particular about midfield duo Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.

The two have yet to play with each other under Ole Gunnar Solskjær since the Portuguese player made his move to the Premier League in the January transfer window, via Transfermarkt, due to Pogba missing large amounts of the current campaign due to injury, per Transfermarkt.

Ighalo has been speaking about the duo, and said, via utdreport: “Imagine when we have Pogba and Bruno in the midfield, then you will see a different team.”

It’s hard to disagree with the loanee’s comments as even know they have both only featured five times this campaign in the starting eleven for the Red Devils, their stats show that they are a huge attacking threat. If you look at their shots per game, key passes per game, and dribbles completed per game, Fernandes has on average 3.8, 2.2 and 1.2 whilst the Frenchman has 2, 2.3 and 1.3, per WhoScored.

These are impressive and highlight that playing the two together could be the key to helping United start battling for the title again.
