Manchester United: Fans mock Chelsea update on Jadon Sancho

Chelsea fear Jadon Sancho will choose to join Manchester United and are eyeing up a move for Philippe Coutinho instead, according to ESPN. Understandably, this latest update on the ongoing transfer saga has driven many Red Devils fans wild.

Senior football writer James Olley dropped a bombshell by revealing the Blues have all but given up hope of signing the 20-year-old and have now turned their attentions to the former Liverpool star.

Sources have told ESPN senior figures behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge believe United are in front, and, as a result, they are now looking at other options.

After arriving at the Signal Iduna Park from Manchester City for £8m in 2017, Sancho has put in a series of impressive performances for Lucien Favre’s side, scoring 14 goals and registering 15 assists in 23 appearances in the Bundesliga this season (WhoScored).

His prolific spell has caught the attention of multiple suitors, and, after months of speculation, it appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is well ahead of Frank Lampard in the race to sign the talented winger.

Unsurprisingly, loads of supporters are overjoyed by the journalist’s revelation, with one fan poking fun at the London club, saying “Chelsea in the mud.” Another added you’ve “gotta love to see it.”
