Last weekend when Manchester United beat Chelsea, winning 4-0 at Old Trafford, the defensive options on the bench caught a few eyes, as Axel Tuanzebe made the bench ahead of both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

Now, it seems like the young ex-Aston Villa loanee is set to be the Red Devils’ third choice central defender behind Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire, according to comments from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that have been documented by both The Telegraph and The Manchester Evening News.
With United set to travel to take on Wolves at Molineux, a ground they lost at twice last season, this evening, it will be interesting to see if Tuanzebe makes the bench again, although if Solskjaer does again put the youngster on the bench it’s a big statement of intent in confirming the youngster’s place in the squad.
