Manchester United put in a poor performance during last night’s Europa League group stage encounter with AZ Alkmaar, held 0-0 by the Dutchmen away from home.

Unsurprisingly, the result has left many United fans disheartened and comes after a string of underwhelming results from the Red Devils, including a defeat to West Ham in the Premier League and a far from convincing penalty shootout win over Rochdale in the EFL Cup last month.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men also threw away a lead against Arsenal on Monday evening, drawing 1-1 with the Gunners after Scott McTominay had initially put them a goal in front at Old Trafford.
One positive that did come from last night’s clash with AZ Alkmaar, though, was the performance of 19-year-old left-back Brandon Williams.
The teenager was making his first start for the club and impressed, with WhoScored awarding the youngster with a rating of 7.28/10 for his contribution at the ADO Den Haag Stadium.
