Manchester United: Fans react as latest transfer links claim Vedat Muriqi is a target

Loads of Manchester United fans have been reacting to the latest striker links, with reports claiming Fenerbahce front man Vedat Muriqi is now a transfer target for the Red Devils.

With the links to Bruno Fernandes seemingly never-ending, much of the attention on Manchester United’s transfer window seems to have shifted away from the fact that the club are currently without a senior, recognised centre-forward.

Marcus Rashford is injured, Anthony Martial has shown time and time again he cannot carry the goalscoring load while Mason Greenwood is still learning his craft, so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will simply have to add some firepower to his side to have any hope of finishing in the top four.

Well, according to claims in the Turkish media, via Sport Witness, the club have ‘tabled an offer’ for Muriqi, and the player is excited by the proposal. The 25 year-old has scored 12 goals this season, and produced a stunning display for Kosovo in their 5-3 defeat against England earlier this season, scoring once and providing two assists.

Per Sofascore, he amassed a match rating of 9.2 and won six duels that evening, while Harry Maguire, the man tasked with marking him, won just two duels and scored 6.3 on Sofascore.
