It was the summer of 2015 when a 19-year-old French striker named Anthony Martial joined Manchester United for £36m.
The young forward – with his lightening quick pace, long legs and beautifully nurtured shooting technique – has drawn comparisons to the great Thierry Henry since his arrival to England four years ago.
Both tall and slender in build, both French, both formerly of AS Monaco, Martial had plenty to live up to on British soil.
He wasted no time in settling in at Old Trafford, though, scoring a stunning goal on his debut against fierce rivals Liverpool. Twisting and turning in that Thierry Henry-esque manner, the wide-eyed teen became an instant hit on the red side of Manchester.
Four years later and Martial has scored 50 goals and assisted a further 30 for the Red Devils and is now the club’s main striker, alongside Marcus Rashford following the departure of Romelu Lukaku in the summer.
Nostalgia is a beautiful thing, and United fans have been well and truly basking in it on Twitter today, throwing it back to the Frenchman’s opening goal against Liverpool in 2015:
