Manchester United fans have slammed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after his latest outburst responding to Robin van Persie.
Both individuals played in the No. 20 shirt for the Red Devils and are remembered for scoring some hugely important goals for the club in their respective eras.
Following the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal, Van Persie told BT Sport (via BBC Sport) that he was not impressed with the Norwegian manager’s attitude after the game and felt that he “should not be smiling”.
The former Holland international scored 58 goals in 105 appearances for Manchester United before leaving to join Fenerbahce in 2015.
“He took my number 20 and that’s probably all he’s going to take from me as well…”

Solskjaer responded and looked irritated by what Van Persie had said, saying that he did not have the right to criticise him as a manager and that his shirt number is the only thing that he took from him.
He spent 11 years at United as a player and scored 127 goals in 365 appearances, including that famous one at the Nou Camp in 1999.
Supporters were not impressed with Solskjaer’s response to the Dutchman though and made their feelings clear on social media.

RVP was spot on,mediocre manager smiling and laughing after losing a match with lacklustre performance.

Clearly hit a nerve there, he knows full well the real fans can see the damage he and his paymasters are doing but he’s desperately trying to deflect. Well done Robin for speaking out for a club you loved, not like the so called silent ‘legends’ who are happy to keep quiet

Ole seems more angry with RVP than his teams performance against Arsenal 😐 https://t.co/PtbXLmv8aq

Find it ironic personally that he’s got angry about a comment that RVP made about him not getting angry enough. Hence doing exactly what RVP said he should have in the first place 😂😂
