Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will miss France’s upcoming Euro 2022 qualifiers against Albania and Andorra through injury.
The Red Devils midfielder picked up a knock to his ankle during the 1-1 draw with Southampton on Saturday, ruling him out of his country’s forthcoming fixtures.
Arsenal’s Mateo Guendouzi has been brought in as the 26-year-old’s replacement, having impressed for Arsenal so far this season.
Manchester United’s official Twitter account tweeted the news that Pogba will be absent from international duty this coming week, and it received some fairly mixed feedback from supporters of the club.
Pogba has divided opinion among fans since joining from Juventus in 2016, with many hailing him, as highlighted by talkSPORT. There are some, however, who are also left frustrated by the Frenchman at times — pointed out by the Metro.
Here’s what United fans had to say about him missing the upcoming international break on Twitter…
That’s alright he’s missed 90% of our game over the last 2 season’s as well

Hope he get well soon. That is the reason we have been shouting united to get a midfielder, now they are in for trouble. Just imagine 4 games without pogba? 😕
