Manchester United: Fans roast signing of academy graduate Noam Emeran

Noam Emeran signed his first professional contract with Manchester United on Monday afternoon after showing promising signs in the club’s youth set up, but given the Red Devils’ struggles on the pitch at the moment, fans weren’t in the mood to be supportive.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side most recently fought back from 2-0 down away to Sheffield United with three goals in ten minutes late in the second half, with an outstanding victory looking inevitable before Scotland striker Oli McBurnie levelled for the Blades in added time.

Brandon Williams, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford nicked quick-fire goals which looked sure to seal an incredible comeback victory from United, but the draw now leaves them nine points adrift of a top-four place – with crucial fixtures against Spurs and bitter rivals Manchester City up next after Aston Villa.

With the prospect of their Champions League ambitions looking somewhat gloomy right now, some United supporters took to Twitter and let off steam by roasting ‘BTEC Pogba’ academy graduate Emeran.

Here’s what they had to say on social media.
