Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has denied claims that his side ‘lack creativity’ after their 2-0 loss to Arsenal on New Year’s Day, according to a report from the Manchester Evening News, with some United supporters blasting the comments on social media.

The Red Devils fell at the Emirates courtesy of goals from Nicolas Pepe and Sokratis Papastathoupoulos during a night to forget for Solskjaer’s side, but the Norwegian has rejected the claim that his side lack creativity going forward despite failing to create many chances during the 90 minutes.
As per the Premier League’s official website, the Red Devils lie 8th in the rankings for passes made this season but fourth when it comes to shots. So, it’s not as if their forwards aren’t having a go at goal but WhoScored note their pass completion rate is the lowest of the top six, suggesting the quality of their chances simply isn’t good enough.
United seemed to be gaining momentum from their previous results, rounding off great wins at home to Newcastle and beating Burnley 2-0 at Turf Moor before their regrettable trip to North London – climbing up to fifth in the table over that time.
However, after the manager denied they need more attacking potency, supporters have been in complete disagreement with his verdict – slamming the club legend on Twitter.
