Ending a run of two consecutive wins, Manchester United fell to their second 2-0 loss in four games as they were undone by Arsenal in the first half – with goals from Nicolas Pepe and Sokratis Papastathopoulos cementing a dream win for Mikel Arteta’s side at the Emirates.
However, for most United supporters, the talking point was the huge absence of star midfielder Paul Pogba, who was slowly making his return to the side before their New Year’s Day defeat.

Pogba, who has been out for the majority of the campaign so far with a niggling ankle injury, will have to undergo surgery on it and could miss a further ‘three to four weeks’ according to his manager.
As a result, some Red Devils fans have been quick to launch a tirade of criticism at manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who gave the update – with a few of them thinking that the news could be just an excuse not to play.
