According to The Athletic, Manchester United are interesting in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane but are waiting for the 26-year-old to make the first move.
Kane has been the subject of repeated interest from United for a number of years, stemming all the way back to the days of former boss Louis van Gaal (Metro).
Although the England international recently signed a new long-term contract with the London club, he is frustrated at Spurs’ latest barren run, and is reportedly reconsidering his options (Metro).
Kane has made over 200 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring a staggering 181 goals and providing 20 assists in all competitions, including 20 goals in the Champions League (Transfermarkt). His current market value is also estimated at a whopping £135m.
The English centre-forward scored 11 goals in 20 Premier League matches, taking 2.8 shots on average, and averaging 1 key pass per game (WhoScored).
On the other hand, RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner has bagged 21 goals in 25 games in the Bundesliga this season, averaging 3.8 shots per game, and completing 1.4 key passes on average so far (WhoScored). Werner’s market value is valued at £72m via Transfermarkt.

Club executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has made it clear he is chasing a striker, midfielder and right-winger as his top three transfer priorities this summer. The Red Devils are also keen admirers of the German international (Express).
Predictably, a large section of the Old Trafford faithful have slammed the board’s latest interest in Harry Kane, with many fans claiming there are cheaper and better options available. One supporter stated they “don’t want him” whilst another added “get Werner for 60m.”

Better options for cheaper are available, rather Werner, Jimenez, haaland, Ben yedder, osimhen etc. Don’t think martial deserves to be displaced from a squad, priority should be adding another young up and coming st to provide compitition and deapth to the squad.

We have a Rash flash
We have Derby specialist Martial
We have Europe’s prodigy Mason G.All young strikers, why do we need Harry Kane????? Just asking

Not bothered don’t want him. If figures of £250m are correct I’d rather sancho and haaland and partly for £50m more

It wouldn’t make any sense to go after him. For his price we could improve our midfield with 2 great players that have not peaked yet and don’t have regular injuries.
Improve midfield, buy Ighalo for next year and next summer go after Halland or some other striker.

Don’t need him

Most overrated player in upper tier the world tranfer market there is.

Why would we go in for a declining, injury prone striker that’s gonna cost us a fortune, over Timo Werner?
No thanks. I’d rather keep Ighalo, or sign Werner instead of Kane.
