Manchester United: Many fans take new Glazer protest to club’s Twitter account

Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over Norwich at Old Trafford had a negative undertone after some fans in the ground chose to chant in protest at their owners, the Glazers. The game ran smoothly for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his team, with them 3-0 up before the hour mark, but many in the stands were looking at the bigger picture.

Indeed, the Red Devils chief admitted he heard some of the chants and urged everyone to stick together during what has been a difficult period for the Old Trafford giants since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013. As per the Independent, it appears a certain Ed Woodward was also on the receiving end of some stick.

The noise wasn’t isolated to that game though, with many fans voicing their annoyance on Twitter the day after too. Even on Sunday morning when the club posted a photo of the players celebrating, with the caption ‘rise and shine’ many fans replied to call for the club’s hierarchy to leave, and some included Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in that.
