After two 1-0 wins in the previous week – firstly against Leicester in the Premier League and then against Astana in the Europa League – Manchester United looked to have found a bit of form.
However, this weekend things came crashing back down as the Red Devils suffered a 2-0 defeat away at West Ham, with the result topped off by the fact that Marcus Rashford – their only remaining fit established striker – limped off with a groin injury that is expected to sideline him for a “little while”.
These United fans have been left infuriated after they witnessed an extremely poor overall performance from their side at the London Stadium on Sunday, which saw goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell seal an impressive 2-0 win for the Hammers.
Some are now calling for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be replaced, as shown by the replies to the Norwegian’s post-match press conference which was uploaded to United’s official Twitter account after the game:
