Manchester United: Fans want to see Marcus Rashford rested during international break

England’s medical team will keep a close eye on the fitness of Marcus Rashford in the run-up to their Euro 2020 qualifier against Czech Republic on Friday, even though the Manchester United forward has declared himself fit for the game.

The Daily Mail reported that the 21-year-old completed an indoor training session at St George’s Park on Monday and is set to begin full training from today, following the groin injury he incurred in his club’s 0-2 defeat to West Ham last month. The news was relayed to followers of the @utdxtra Twitter account.

Despite going off injured at London Stadium a couple of weeks ago, Rashford has played in each of Manchester United’s last three matches, featuring for the entirety of their Premier League games against Arsenal and Newcastle. [via TransferMarkt]

He goes into the international break on a barren run of form, with just one goal in his last nine games for his club, that a penalty against Leicester nearly a month ago.
