Manchester United have kept just one clean sheet so far this season, with question marks continuing to surround Harry Maguire’s defensive partner, Victor Lindelof.
The Sweden international has endured a miserable start to his campaign, something recently highlighted by the MEN. Lindelof, 26, was beaten in the air by Jannik Vestergaard for Southampton’s equaliser a fortnight ago, while he was also at fault for Crystal Palace’s opener at Old Trafford just seven days before.
Palace went on to win that clash 2-1 and United now sit 8th in the Premier League table. It is still early days and the season is only four games old, but should these defensive frailties continue to rear their head, it will only further damage United’s chances of reinstating themselves back into the top four this term.
United fans are now calling for Solskjaer to give Axel Tuanzebe a chance in the first-team following his successful season on loan at Aston Villa last time out, during which the side won promotion to the Premier League.
