According to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio via Utd Report, the Red Devils have made a failed attempt to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie on loan – prompting many supporters to slam the news.
Kessie, who has started 15 Serie A matches for Milan this season, is now being linked with a move away from the San Siro to Old Trafford if this report is to be believed – with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side potentially scouring the market in search of midfield back up.
Injuries to Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba have forced United to contemplate their strength in depth, with the Ivorian midfielder potentially being a stable back-up option judging by his stats. Indeed, compared to current midfield man Fred, Kessie has averaged a similar pass completion rate of 87.3% whilst also netting one more goal, as per WhoScored.com.
However, the 23-year-old falls down in terms of tackles and interceptions, with Fred averaging superior rates of 2.1 and 1.5 in each regard respectively.
