Manchester United: Fred statistics from Club Brugge victory have many Red Devils fans swooning

Responding to match statistics courtesy of freelance football analyst Statman Dave on Twitter, many Manchester United fans have been swooning over the numbers surrounding midfielder Fred’s performance during their dominant 5-0 victory over Club Brugge.

The Brazilian, who scored a brace and assisted Scott McTominay on the night, rounded off a classy performance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men on Thursday evening – with previous goals from January additions Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo setting them on their way to a place in the Europa League Last 16. According to the numbers from Statman Dave, Fred managed 100% completed dribbles, a 91% pass accuracy and 82% passes in the final third completed – with many Red Devils fans since swooning over his dominant outing.

As well as this, as per SofaScore, Fred managed the highest match rating (9.2) out of any United player whilst completing 90% of his long balls as well. In response to the ‘immense‘ numbers, there has been no shortage of supporters singing Fred’s praises after the final whistle – with one fan even claiming that he could be ‘the new Kante‘.
