Manchester United: Guillem Balague’s latest update on Paul Pogba divides Red Devils

Many Manchester United fans have responded to Guillem Balague’s latest comments on the transfer saga surrounding Paul Pogba.

Speaking in a fan Q&A on his YouTube channel, the Spanish football expert commented: “Paul Pogba was a target for Zidane, not so much for the club, and the money involved in that deal means that Real Madrid I don’t think have Paul Pogba as a priority.”

“Paul Pogba has suggested both, that he wants to go and he wants to stay.”

“So he’s playing his cards but at the moment I do feel that a player like him would be better serviced to be at Manchester United where he will be the leader, physically he will be fit finally and it seems like they are at least a stable club right now, there won’t be changes, [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer will stay.”

Pogba’s future at Old Trafford has been the subject of frequent speculation over recent months, stoked by his controversial agent Mino Raiola, with Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid and his former club Juventus reportedly in the running to sign the Frenchman before the start of next season.

After returning to United from the Italian giants, the French World Cup winner has scored 31 goals and produced 31 assists for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side so far, lifting the Europa League trophy and picking up the League Cup along the way (Transfermarkt).

A large portion of the United faithful are still doubtful, as several took aim at Balague’s update, and one supporter commented “this is bad.” However, not all the responses were negative, with another fan adding “La Pioche staying, we move!”

We can convince him that doesn’t mean he’s gonna stay. IMO I think he wants out & in all honesty I’d sell him. We hold the power which gives us the advantage tho. He hasn’t addressed his future & he’s had plenty of opportunities to do so
