Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited to hear they’re leading the chase to capture an unhappy Chelsea ace- but are disappointed it isn’t Eden Hazard.
Metro claim the Red Devils are leading the chase to sign frustrated Chelsea midfielder Charley Musonda, who has not been given first-team chances this season despite promises the situation would change over the summer.
Whilst Arsenal, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen, United sit at the front of the queue with suggestions they will pay a whopping £10.6m for the 19-year-old’s services.
Musonda has not been given a chance at Stamford Bridge and the situation is unlikely to change before January, with the Blues out of the League Cup and facing a daunting task to turn their disastrous Premier League campaign around.
With Chelsea just three points above the relegation zone, now is not the time for Jose Mourinho to blood unknown talent into the side as he has his own skin to save.
United fans, is Musonda worth paying that much for? Should Chelsea give him a chance? Let us know in the comments below!
