There are some shocked looks around the Football Transfer Tavern as the latest transfer speculation emerges in the bar.
The news comes from talkSPORT who suggest that Manchester United are considering a surprise move for Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic.
The Montenegrin centre back is not exactly highly rated in the tavern after a difficult spell with Manchester City in the 2011/12 season.
However the centre back has apparently revived his career with an impressive time at the Serie A outfit and that has seen him become a summer transfer target for United
United captain Nemanja Vidic is set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season and with Rio Ferdinand likely to retire, David Moyes will have to recruit at least two quality centre backs this summer.
Despite his erratic displays for fierce local rivals City, United boss Moyes is prepared to offer Savic another crack at the Premier League.
United are likely to recruit heavily this summer following a entirely disappointing season under Moyes, with his side sixth -15 points off the league leaders Chelsea.
