After Manchester United strolled past Watford 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday, one unlikely man in particular has been earning plenty of plaudits alongside new star Bruno Fernandes – with defender Luke Shaw impressing supporters thanks to his ‘quality‘ outing.
Shaw, who completed 90% of his passes whilst winning an equal number of ground duels, dominated the left flank with overlapping runs and accumulated the highest SofaScore rating (7.7) out of United’s entire back line. The Englishman, who has become a slightly divisive figure since signing from Southampton way back in 2014, attracted lofty praise for his showing even despite new star signing Bruno Fernandes grabbing all the headlines with an influential display.
