Manchester United fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are getting pretty excited after hearing from Metro, that the Red Devils have been given the green light to go and sign Hoffenheim starlet Roberto Firmino.
The 23-year-old has been a standout player for the Bundesliga side this season, so it is no surprise to see interest in him increase as we approach the summer transfer window.
Firmino scored the winning goal in Brazil’s latest International friendly against Chile at the Emirates Stadium and his performance in that match will fuel further speculation.
Metro claim that any deal involving Firmino will be priced at around £18.6 million, a sum of money that Louis van Gaal’s side should be able to muster up.
