Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba looks likely to leave Old Trafford in the summer, according to Sky Sports.

The Lowdown: Pogba

Pogba is out of contract in a matter of months, with his future becoming a hot topic of conversation during the current campaign.

The 29-year-old was forced off due to injury after just ten minutes against Liverpool on Tuesday, which resulted in a number of travelling supporters booing the Frenchman at Anfield.

It looks as if his second stint in Manchester is now coming to an end, and Sky Sports have provided a big update on his future.

The Latest: Live TV update

Sky Sports News shared an on-air update regarding Pogba on Wednesday, sharing the news on Twitter.

They said that ‘a source has told Sky Sports News that it looks increasingly likely Pogba will leave the club at the end of the season’.

They added that Real Madrid and Juventus are ‘in talks’ with Pogba’s representatives while remaining in the Premier League isn’t off the cards either.

The Verdict: The right call

Despite a positive start to a season in which he provided four assists in the opening weekend win against Leeds, it has once again been a struggle for Pogba at Old Trafford.

Picking up £290,000-a-week, the 29-year-old has scored just once all season and has failed to really nail down a regular role under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

Therefore, a move away alongside Edinson Cavani ahead of Erik ten Hag’s first season in charge appears to be the right decision for all involved.
