Manchester United: Toby Collyer joins from Brighton

Manchester United have secured a deal for Brighton midfielder Toby Collyer, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Lowdown: Collyer profiled
Collyer is just 18 years of age and is a defensive midfielder who has captained England at youth level.
Described as ‘intelligent’ by former Brighton coach Mark Beard, Collyer made a total of 28 appearances for the Seagulls’ Under-18 side and also featured once for the Under-23s.
Pochettino for Rangnick in the summer?
Yes, get it sorted now!

No, look elsewhere!

He has recently been on trial at Carrington and has attracted interest from Chelsea and West Ham, but it’s United who have now won the race for his services.
The Latest: Romano’s post
Romano took to Twitter, confirming that Collyer has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Old Trafford.
The transfer expert labelled it as a ‘done deal’, with contracts signed on Tuesday.
The Verdict: First step of summer shake-up
It may take a while until we see Collyer in a first-team matchday squad, but it’s good to see that the Red Devils are still active when it comes to bringing in the best young talent from around the country.
There also looks set to be plenty of change this summer, with Ralf Rangnick more than likely to move upstairs into a consultancy role to help with the search for a new manager.
Plenty of first-team players are also out of contract at the end of June, including Paul Pogba, so it seems as if a move for Collyer is the first in what could be a busy few months of ins and outs at Old Trafford.
