Even during Manchester United’s solid 2-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening, some Red Devils supporters have managed to find a moment where they were ‘robbed‘ in their victory – with January loan signing Odion Ighalo missing a chance to open his account.
Ighalo, who signed on loan from Shanghai Shenhua in the January transfer window, replaced Anthony Martial in added time during the contest – with the Nigerian spurning an opportunity moments later. Chelsea shot-stopper Willy Caballero denied Ighalo’s tame effort on goal which would have opened his account for the Red Devils just a couple of moments into his debut, resulting in supporters bemoaning a ‘robbed’ moment of glory on a memorable afternoon for the travelling fans.
Goals from Martial and Harry Maguire sealed a vital three points in their chase for Europe, with VAR also controversially ruling out two Chelsea efforts.
