Manchester United: Paul Pogba intends to commit his future to the Red Devils

Many Red Devils fans are buzzing over the news that Manchester United talisman Paul Pogba is ready to commit his future to Old Trafford, via the Daily Mail

After months of rampant speculation, the Frenchman sees his long-term future at the club and is happy to stay, with the intention to sign a new contract extension. Pogba’s current contract expires in 2021 although there is the option to extend the agreement by another year (Transfermarkt).

The 26-year-old has featured in over 150 games for United so far, scoring 31 goals and creating 31 assists in all competitions. The French World Cup winner has struggled with injuries and has only made 7 appearances in the Premier League under club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season (Transfermarkt).

Unsurprisingly plenty of Red Devils are overjoyed by Pogba’s intention to stay at Old Trafford. The club-record signing rejoined United from Serie A leaders Juventus for a staggering £94.5m in August 2016. His current market value is estimated at £90m via Transfermarkt.

Whether or not United qualify for Champions League football will likely factor into Pogba’s final decision. European giants Real Madrid and Barcelona have long been linked with the French international and if Solskjaer’s side fail to make the top four by the end of the season, fans should expect transfer rumours to heat up once again (Mail).
