Manchester United planning £100m summer rebuild

luke shawBob Cass from Mail Online has an exclusive story for punters in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening.

He explains to excited Manchester United punters that David Moyes has now outlined a massive £100 million transfer hitlist for the summer.

Moyes has been left disappointed with his start to life at Old Trafford, with the club languishing in the Premier League with Champions League qualification now looking increasingly unlikely.

These struggles could see the club’s owners backing the under-fire former Everton boss significantly in the post-season as they look to restore the club to its previous greatness.

Cass then takes a berth at the bar and decides to reel off a list of names that Moyes has reportedly targeted for the summer.

From what Cass has heard, Moyes wants to primarily sign Juventus duo Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba, who are valued at around £60 million together, as he looks to make a quick fix to his midfield problems.

While in defence, young Ajax defender Joel Veltman and Southampton’s Luke Shaw are being considered as tries to freshen up his ageing backline.

And in attack Moyes is preparing make a substantial offer for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa, who is thought to be available at nearer the £40 million mark.

The biggest problem for United wont be financing this huge spending spree, but convincing these fine players that things will improve at Old Trafford under Moyes’ management.

This could made even tougher if the Champions League does allude them for next season.

Are any of these names likely to rock up at Old Trafford in the summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
