There is drama here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by IBTimes that incoming Manchester United boss David Moyes has been handed an early boost in his chase for PSV Eindhoven’s Kevin Strootman.
Manchester United have been considering a move for the player for some time now and it seems that manager elect David Moyes is also a fan of the player. United are ready to pounce for the player whose own manager has claimed that he would benefit from a move away from the club after claiming that he needs to be playing in the top leagues in the world.
Dick Advocaat claimed that: “For PSV it would be good if he stays, but for Strootman himself it’s better to leave. He’s the reserve captain of the Dutch national squad and PSV will make another step next season.
“This guy fits everywhere. He’s a fantastic player because he knows exactly what his qualities are.”
David Moyes had been tracking the player and planned to make a summer swoop for him while at Everton and now feels that the midfielder would make for an ideal first transfer at Old Trafford.
