Manchester United: Red Devils fans absolutely loved Bruno Fernandes’ garden kickabout

Loads of Manchester United supporters loved Bruno Fernandes’ garden kickabout with his daughter in full first team kit.

Popular fan site United Zone re-posted footage from the midfield maestro’s Instagram account showing Fernandes enjoying a kickabout in his back garden.

It was announced earlier this week players and staff have been told to stay away from Carrington training ground for the foreseeable future. The Portuguese international is evidently still keeping his skills sharp as he spends time with his family in isolation.

After arriving at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in January for a reported fee of £49.5m, Fernandes has wasted no time at all in finding his feet, bagging 3 goals and creating 4 assists in just 9 appearances for United so far (Transfermarkt). The 25-year-old has played in 5 games in the Premier League under club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, scoring 2 goals, averaging 3.8 shots per game, and completing 2.2 key passes on average in the English top flight (WhoScored).

Unsurprisingly many Red Devils tweeted their replies, with one supporter describing Fernandes as an “ice cold baller.” Another remarked “he’s our new Cantona.”

Although it remains to be seen whether or not he can hit the same heights as the French forward, Fernandes has made an impressive start to his time in Manchester, and has already picked up multiple accolades.
