Ryan Giggs has admitted he is seriously impressed by Manchester United ace Bruno Fernandes in an interview with Sky Sports and loads of fans are buzzing over his latest comments.
Giggs believes Fernandes has made an immediate impact under former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and said the Portuguese is a “fantastic player” who has “lifted everyone around him.”
It’s really difficult to disagree with Giggs on this one. Since arriving in Manchester in January, Fernandes has made 6 appearances in all competitions for the Reds, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists (Transfermarkt).
The club icon went on to add “it’s early days, I still think he can get even better,” whipping plenty of Reds fans into an excited frenzy online. One fan even went as far as to call Fernandes “the best midfielder in the Premier League.”
Giggs is the club’s record appearance maker, making his debut in 1991 and going on to appear in 632 games in the Premier League before retiring in 2014. The midfield maestro scored 109 goals and created 158 assists during his spell in the English top tier (Transfermarkt).
The Welshman knows a thing or two about winning trophies, having picked up a jaw-dropping list of honours under fellow legend Sir Alex Ferguson, adding 13 Premier League titles, 2 Champions League and 4 FA Cups to his impressive trophy cabinet (Transfermarkt).
