French World Cup winner Paul Pogba has come under fire from frustrated Manchester United fans after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dropped an update on the injured star’s return.
The Red Devils legend told MUTV the club’s record signing will miss the upcoming Manchester derby on Sunday. Solskjaer’s side find themselves in a race for the top four, sitting only 3 points behind Chelsea, and the upcoming fixtures at home to City and away to Tottenham could prove vitally important.
Speaking ahead of the fifth round tie with Derby County on Thursday, Solskjaer said: “Paul is still working with the physios outside and he won’t be training with the first-team until next week and then let’s see how long that will take.”
The boss then went on to plead for patience, saying “he will need some time to get his football fitness back.”
Pogba has made 150 appearances for the Reds in his career so far, though has missed much of this campaign due to injury.
As expected some fans are rather unhappy with Solskjaer’s comments, with one fan bemoaning “the most cautious comeback in football history.” Despite the impressive record, Pogba has only made 8 appearances for United all season due to an ongoing ankle injury with his return currently unknown (Transfermarkt).

Lmao good riddance to bad rubbish.. If that clause about Raiola making another 10mil for his next appearance is true, he should never play a game for us again..
