Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is set to be sold this summer after losing the confidence of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to a report by Goal.
Unsurprisingly a whole plethora of the Old Trafford faithful have gone wild over the news on Twitter, with one fan commenting “that boy is rubbish.”
With the arrival of Portuguese sensation Bruno Fernandes in January, Lingard has fallen to the bottom of the pecking order and has found himself out-of-favour with the club legend.
The 27-year-old recently joined the stable of infamous agent Mino Raiola, who also manages Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
United could sign Jadon Sancho this summer (MEN) and if the Red Devils add to their stacked midfield in the upcoming transfer window this would leave Lingard surplus to requirements.
The England international has made 202 appearances for the Reds, scoring only 31 goals and registering 20 assists across all competitions. His market value rests at £19.8m and it is likely the board will cash in on the Old Trafford academy graduate to raise funds for re-investment (Transfermarket).
Take a look at some of the funniest responses down below, as one supporter simply said ‘that boy is rubbish’…
Ever since Bruno Fernandes joined Man U, they have looked different and energised. He is the breath of fresh air Man United needed. Just relegate Lingard to the reserves, man. That boy is rubbish.

His ego is bigger than Pogba’s but it won’t be talked about because he’s English

100% fake news, no chance he thinks he’s one of the best

Boris Johnson is better at number 10 than Lingard.

I don’t care how good he thinks he is. Leave and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. 🤡
