Despite Ed Woodward’s comments last week, Jadon Sancho is still a key part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for Manchester United, according to the Evening Standard.
Sports writer Tony Mogan revealed the Norwegian aims to continue with his Red Devils rebuild whenever the season finally ends, with the Borussia Dortmund winger at the top of the transfer target shortlist.
After arriving at the Signal Iduna Park from Manchester City for a mere £7.05m in 2017, Sancho has dazzled the German crowds, scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists in 23 appearances in the Bundesliga this season (via WhoScored).
The 20-year-old has already won 11 caps for the England national team and netted 2 goals so far (EnglandStats).
Understandably, Sancho’s heroics in Germany have caught the attention of multiple potential suitors, including United’s bitter Premier League rivals Chelsea. Although it was initially reported the Blues were weighing up their options, reports indicate Frank Lampard’s side are now back in contention, although United still lead the chase to sign the talented youngster.
