Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot, according to a report by O Jogo via Sports Witness. Understandably, the transfer link has prompted mixed messages from supporters.
The Portuguese outlet claims the Red Devils are looking at selling Dalot in the summer, as he is considered surplus to requirements by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the board could demand between €35m and €40m for the right-back.
Ever since his arrival last summer, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has dazzled the crowds at Old Trafford, and the club’s hierarchy no longer see any sense in keeping him in the senior squad.
As a result of Wan-Bissaka’s performances, the Portuguese has struggled to nail down a place in the starting lineup, as he has only played in 4 games in the Premier League under the club legend all season (Transfermarkt).
The 21-year-old’s current contract is meant to expire in three years time, but it appears Ed Woodward will allow him to leave in the summer if the valuation is met.
Although some potential suitors might baulk at the asking price, the fee shouldn’t be an obstacle for PSG, considering the deep pockets of their owners.
