According to a recent update from MUTV, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that midfielder Scott McTominay has travelled with the rest of the squad to the team’s winter training camp – with an image on social media of the player courtesy of The Sun leading fans to believe his return to action could be imminent.
McTominay, who has been out of action over the last two months with a knee injury, will continue rehabilitation at United’s training camp ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea next week. Whether or not he will be ready for the match is unclear, but after this image of McTominay in training was uploaded to Twitter, many supporters have theorised that he very well could be. One fan even claimed that Blues midfield stalwart N’Golo Kante ‘ain’t ready‘ – referring to a potential battle between the pair if the Scotsman returns to action on time.

Compared to Kante, the United academy graduate has managed the same amount of tackles per game this season (2.2) when playing despite making fewer interceptions (1.4), as per WhoScored.com – perhaps hinting that it would be an interesting midfield duel.
As a result of the image, these Red Devils supporters have gushed over the prospect of McTominay’s potential return – here’s what they had to say.
