The Daily Mail have Manchester United fans looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that the Red Devils could well be about to miss out on Gareth Bale – at least for now.
Links between Bale and the Premier League have been rife and United were thought to be leading the way given they have the ace of David De Gea in their pocket, but it seems that one more campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu looks to be on the cards for Bale.
Ancelotti is believed to be a huge fan of the Welshman and will fight to keep him at the club although as one of our punters quips, the face of the matter is, we don’t even know if Ancelotti will be in a job come the summer and end of the season if the club finish the campaign trophyless.
