Manchester United fans have frowns on their faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mail report that they have missed out on PSG defender Marquinhos.
The young star has penned a new deal with Paris Saint Germain and will now stay at the club until at least 2019 should everything go to plan and as one of our punters notes, that is a blow for Louis van Gaal’s transfer plans considering he is desperate for at least two defenders this summer.
We thought Marquinhos was perfect for United and the fact that he was also a young player who has plenty of time to develop made our punters excited at the prospect of signing him.
Now however the Red Devils will have to turn their attentions to other targets – not that they haven’t been linked with enough of them!
